Heritage Solar Slates are innovative roof-integrated photovoltaic solar slates. They are efficient, reliable, fully weather proof and look just like regular roofing slates. Unlike traditional solar panels, they blend in with standard roof slates to create a virtually invisible solar panel roof. Heritage Solar Slates are ideal for use in conservation areas, on historic buildings, new builds, or renovation projects.

This micro-generation energy source also helps to meet legislative targets, including the 'Merton Rule'; so whether you have to reduce your carbon emissions by using on-site renewables to meet a planning requirement, or you simply want to improve your carbon footprint, Heritage Solar Slate now enables you to do this with a traditional slate roof.
Guarantee terms include a 10 year roof integrity guarantee and 10 year minimum performance guarantee (subject to terms, conditions, and limitations). A copy of the standard guarantee is available on request.
'Fit-and-forget' installation
Heritage Solar Slate embodies the usual benefits of solar, but overcomes some of the obstacles met by traditional installations. The installation is a 'fit-and-forget' process, requiring nothing more than traditional roofing building skills. The electrician installing the system is required to be MCS accredited.
The materials are supplied as a simple all-inclusive kit which contains:
- 162 slates
- Roof hooks
- Inverters
- Connectors
- Wiring looms
- AC and DC isolators
- Marshalling boxes (for looms to fit into)
- Kw/h meter
Heritage Solar Slates have been developed to be installed in the same way as conventional roofing slates. Secured with roofing hooks the roof should be built as normal, to batten level, with a gauge of 205mm
