Ashden Awards seek entries
Next year’s Ashden Awards for Sustainable Energy are seeking entries from ground-breaking businesses, schools, not-for-profit initiatives, and public sector organisations that encourage the use of sustainable energy.
Each year the Ashden Awards reward ground-breaking initiatives. In addition to cash prizes of up to £20,000, winners are offered a package of benefits and support including a broadcast-quality short film about their work, tailored business support, introductions to influential policy makers and, in certain cases, funders.
New for 2011, applicants are being sought from any sector that are working to create significant and sustained behaviour change either in their own organisation, other enterprises, or across a community.
Applications must be for work that has been running for at least a year, is technically excellent and is improving the lives of local people.
Deadline for entries is 26 October 2010
The awards, which were presented by TV broadcaster Sir David Attenborough this year, will be held in London on June 2011.
