Carillion takes £200m EDF Energy deal

Carillion has been awarded a five-year extension to its existing contracts with EDF Energy Networks, in a deal worth £200m.

Carillion’s existing 4-year contracts with EDF Energy Networks, which started in 2007, are being extended for a further five years from January next year. Under these contract extensions, Carillion will deliver infrastructure services for sub-stations and cabling to support the electricity network in the East of England.

Carillion chief executive John McDonough said: “We are delighted to have been awarded this major extension to our contracts with EDF Energy Networks. This reflects the strong relationship we have built with EDF Energy Networks through our ability to work closely with our customers to understand their business needs and to develop services specifically tailored to meet those needs.”
