Green entrepreneurs get free training
Entrepreneurs working in environmental sectors are being offered free business training at the Enviro-Entrepreneur School in Nottingham.
The training course will run over three days from 10-12 November 2010 and is aimed at ‘green entrepreneurs’ wanting to develop new ideas across sectors such as green-tech, low-carbon, renewable energy, energy-efficiency and pollution control.
The course will teach a number of business ‘basics’ in areas including accounting, law, marketing, intellectual property, raising finance and presenting business ideas. At the end of the three-day course, delegates will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas and get feedback from experienced investors, in a ‘Dragons’ Den’ style session.
“The new school is aimed at the next generation of entrepreneurs working in these sectors who want to know how to turn their ideas into successful business start-ups – and give themselves an advantage over competitors,” said school organiser Dr Nick Gostick.
